Measure before ordering

If you are replacing an existing handle, measure the distance between the centres of the screw holes. This centre-to-centre measurement must match the new handle unless you plan to drill new holes. Also check the overall length, projection and grip space.

Choose material and finish

Metal handles are durable and available in finishes such as black, brass, chrome and nickel. Wooden handles provide a warmer appearance, while cup handles work particularly well on drawers.

Match the handle to its use

Longer handles provide a generous grip on wide drawers and tall doors. Smaller handles and knobs suit compact fronts. For bathrooms, consider finishes and materials suitable for regular use in a humid room.
